Story

I recently visited a local Liverpool charity called KIND. KIND is a children’s charity that was founded by Stephen Yip, MBE in 1975. During my trip to KIND I was very impressed by their modem, fun and educational centre and even more so impressed by how many different charitable schemes they are running from there.

KIND works to help thousands of children and their families from across Liverpool and greater Merseyside to cope with the effects of disadvantage and poverty. At Christmas, KIND aim to give as many families toy parcels to ensure that every child has a happier Christmas. As we all know Christmas can be an expensive time of year, made even more stressful by trying to keep up with the expectations and demands of having to give gifts.

Our target at Hope University is to try to fundraise and donate 20 gifts to KIND with a price of £10-15 per gift. We are looking to get gifts for children aged 11-17 (examples could be cloth shop vouchers, beauty sets, dvd sets, aftershaves etc). Something a young person in that age range would like to receive at Christmas.

So please, whether it be £1 to our just givng page or a full £15 gift donation, be a little KIND and give some HOPE this Christmas.

Thank you!!
