Story

Livestock was born from the desire of local people to put on live music for their local community. Established in 2010 and growing out of now legendary street parties, the Livestock Music Festival aims to bring together talented bands from all over the country, local heroes, emerging talent and established artistes alike. The aim is to provide an outstanding community event, affordable and accessible to all whilst supporting musicians, artistes, community groups and other local businesses.

Livestock Events CIC is a not for profit community enterprise with the aim to produce the Livestock Music Festival, all funds raised through the year through running Music from The Black Barn and Park Live events and from donations are put towards this goal.

All funds we raise here will be put towards costs outside the regular festival budget intended to improve the experience for visitors and facilities for acts so we can focus all our efforts on putting on the best festival possible.

Recent years have been extremely challenging with the fallout from Covid, Inflation and other factors increasing costs, impacting revenue and audience numbers. It costs about £50000 to put on Livestock and it is always borderline with funds raised through the year. Any funds we can raise outside ticket revenue will help to keep ticket prices low and accessible for the widest possible audience.
