As I approach my 50th year on year on the planet Ive decided that I have enough “stuff” and would kindly suggest a donation to my most favourite place in the world instead of gifts and cards. I absolutely adore the animals (the owners and volunteers are nae bad either 😉)

Waulkmill Menagerie is a not for profit social enterprise that is run by volunteers. They have been recognised by Aberdeenshire council for their work placement programme.

During the week they have people with additional needs and mental health issues who volunteer or come for therapy with their carers. As well as work experience they gain confidence, reduce stress, learn new skills and receive lots of animal therapy. Waulkmill are always seeking volunteers as they are a huge part of our plans.
