On 14th April 2019 I will be running a 10k Mud Run. For those of you who know me well, will know that running is not my strength and running in mud, with gruesome obstacles takes this challenge to a whole new level for me!

I would like to try and raise £1000 and my lovely employer has agreed to match the funds I raise (up to £1000) So my aim is to raise £2000 in total for Barby Primary School. Thanks to the generous cash donations I have received my just giving target has reduced from £1000 to £500.

The money raised will be used to create a Reflection Garden in the school grounds. This will be a beautiful area created to allow pupils and staff an area where they may go and contemplate issues which may be dear to them, worrying them or to quietly give thanks for the pleasures in their lives. The specially designed garden would be full of plants which have distinctive and soothing aromas; chime bars tinkling calming sounds from among the trees. There will be seating and it would be an oasis of calm away from the busy playground.
