£225raised of £375 target by 17 supporters

Weʼve raised £225 to pay for the treatment of Daisy Bradley, our rescued Roe deer, a road traffic victim.

Funded on Tuesday, 11th September 2018

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    Story

We brought this little deer to Rase Veterinary Practice in Market Rasen after a man had hit her near Laceby village. My daughter came across the accident on Wednesday and offered to help, seeing the man was in such distress. The RSPCA and Blue Cross refused to come out, the police said just leave her and Abbey Vets refused to treat her! She won't be able to be returned to the wild as she is now partially sighted and wouldn't survive. We will take care of her and she will have the best life possible, in the countryside but in a pen for safety. Rase Vets have been very kind but we will need to pay the treatment bill of £375, for her veterinary care whilst she was there. We've called her Daisy, after our lovely 94 year old neighbour who loved all animals.

Daisy is recovering well. She loves carrots, strawberries, spinach, pears, apples, celery and dried goat food. She's still frightenedto go out in the garden and I'm not forcing her as I still can't work out how much sight she has. We've raised £215. Thank you so much xxx

Daisy is alot better today. She's more chirpy and very stubborn! She's refused to move when I've cleaned out her living quarters out which made it a bit difficult! Her head is healing up well and she seems content. Xxx

Daisy is grumpy today. I think her head is bothering her. She seems a bit confused but it's early days as it was only last Wednesday that she was hit by a car travelling at 50mph!
