I've raised £6000 to help Victoria and Charlotte make some wonderful memories of their amazing mum, and our friend, Mei Mei Towlson.

After 21 years caring for patients at Bath Clinic, and supporting our staff and consultants, Mei has had the most terrible week of her life.
On Wednesday 31st May, Mei worked a long day, caring for patients and watching over colleagues with her usual incredible standards of warmth, compassion and dedication. By the end of her long day on Wednesday, Mei was in A&E undergoing tests. By Thursday Mei was in the CT scanner. By Friday Mei was in the MRI scanner.
By Friday afternoon, Mei was being discharged from hospital, with the devastating news that she needed to go and spend the next few weeks with her beautiful girls, her family and friends. By the weekend, Mei's girls, who have been brought up to be strong, independent young women, were taught their final instruction - how to use the washing machine! By Monday, Mei had organised visits from the Vicar, the Hospice and Macmillan nurses, and put her affairs in order. By Tuesday, the Vicar had visited to plan her funeral.
Today is Wednesday 6th June 2018. In the last 5 days, Mei has entertained countless visitors, and answered hundreds of messages and calls. Yesterday, I awoke to a message stating "Hi, I'm still alive!".
She has dealt with the most devastating days of her life with her usual efficiency, injecting her amazing sense of humour, and displaying the most incredible dignity. She has ensured every visitor has felt at ease and immensely comfortable in the face of such sadness. She's made threats to haunt people if they don't do as she says, and given strict instructions on arrival times at her funeral to ensure her friends have the best seats in the house! Only Mei Mei.....!
With Mei's blessing, I have opened this Just Giving page. Mei would love for there to be a lasting memory of her at Bath Clinic and I have assured her that 'Mei Mei's bench' will forever have pride of place beside the pond. This page will hopefully allow Victoria and Charlotte to make some further 'forever' memories of their own.
