Sometime on the night of Friday 4th November thieves stole an estimated 2-3 tonnes of lead from our church roof. The estimated cost of replacing this lead is between £30 - 35,000, we are looking into alternative roof coverings, but as this is a grade 1 listed building we are limited to what we will be allowed to do. We are a small village and this is a massive blow to the community, the church is used for many village events not just Sunday services.
