Story
"For those of you who are unaware, Harry, our youngest at 7 has been diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare cancer.
He is currently undergoing a chemotherapy programme and has been amazing, never complaining or feeling sorry for himself, a true inspiration to Rachel and I. His upbeat personality has helped us get through some dark times over the last couple of months.
He originally had a tumour removed from behind his eye but due to its location, the preferred radiotherapy option is Proton Beam Therapy. Unfortunately there are no facilities in the UK to provide this at the present time, so we are going to have to travel to the USA.
The treatment will take between 6-8 weeks, this will have a significant impact on our earnings and daily living costs.
We want to make things as comfortable and straight forward for Harry whilst in the USA, so any donation, no matter how big or small would be greatly appreciated.
When we are back to some sort of normality, through fundraising, I intend to equal the amount raised, this will then be given to a Children's cancer charity.

7 years agoApologies in the delay for an update. The Family have settled well into their accommodation in the US. Harry has had various scans and a mask fitted ready for his proton treatment. He has had chemo this week and hasn't felt sick which is great. His brothers are flying out on Sunday so they are there for his birthday. They are frequenting a local Alligator Farm a lot as Harry loves it and it takes his mind off everything. They are waiting for a date for the Proton Therapy to start. Thanks again for all your support from myself and the family. x

7 years agoWe now have a date for America, the family leave on 16th August, they thank you all for your messages and are trying to keep on top of all the donations to be able to thank you all personally, however, it is not always possible, but know that you are amazing and mean so much to the family. Harry turns 8 whilst he is in America and we are hoping he is well enough to enjoy his day and he will be taken out for the day thanks to you all. Once again a massive thank you from myself and the family for your kind donations and well wishes. xxx
