£602raised of £2,000 target by 43 supporters

Weʼve raised £602 to help fund my 1000-mile trek and raise money for Guide Dogs for the Blind UK.

    Coventry, United Kingdom
Funded on Monday, 18th December 2017

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

One man, one thousand miles. Beginning on September 27th, I will be walking an astounding 1000 miles over the Pyrenees mountains from southern France to western Spain! I’ll be trekking on the world-renowned Camino de Santiago de Compostela, and then I’ll be walking all the way back!

Some would say I’ve lost the plot, others would say I never had it, but after having just graduated, I wanted to do something truly challenging and rewarding before entering the big wide job world. So, naturally I thought of going for a three month pilgrimage walk!

My aim is to raise £2,000 – half of all the funds raised will go towards the trip, and the other half will go directly to Guide Dogs for the Blind UK, a fantastic charity that does some really great work. In the UK, there are close to two million people living with sight loss, a large number of which feel isolated and trapped in their homes. Living without one of your five senses is impossible to imagine, and it's probably something most of us take for granted, so I have chosen to raise for Guide Dogs to give those with sight loss a restored quality of life. It costs £27,300 to train a guide dog, so please dig deep and help a truly deserving cause!

Thank you in advance for any support – any donations, big or small, would be absolutely amazing, and if you could help spread the message to your family and friends I would be really grateful!

Be sure to follow my Facebook page to stay up to date with news of both the preparation for the walk and the trek itself – I’ll be doing vlogs so you can see the PAIN.

Thank you again and see you on the other side!
