Story

Llangeitho Jubilee Hall was built in 1897 to celebrate the diamond jubilee of Queen Victoria. Being over 120 years old it is the oldest purpose-built village hall in the county of Ceredigion. Externally it looks pretty much the same as it did in 1897. internally is has no insulation at all and the original metal framed single glazed windows, making it cold, drafty and difficult to heat. Not surprisingly it is really showing its age.

We have an ambitious plan to elevate the energy efficiency and environmental impact of our hall as well as improve the faciltities, such as a new kitchen. Our goal is for it to be sustainable for another 120 years , and beyond.

Our fundraising activites, including this, will be supported by grant applications and other funding options to raise the large sum of money we need to strengthen, insulate and extend the hall. New facilities such as a large well equiped kitchen, better flooring and a better meeting rooms along with our large assembley hall, will allow us to continue all the current and proposed activites that our residents need to prevent social isolation in such a rural community.

We thank everyone for any support they can offer us.
