Story

La Leche League South Birmingham is a local breastfeeding support group dedicated to providing information and education for women who want to breastfeed in South Birmingham and the surrounding areas.

Research show that many women stop breastfeeding before they are ready due to lack of support. We are here to help women achieve their goals. By making a donation to LLL South Birmingham you will enable us to continue being a vital helping hand to mothers and their families. It really is investing in the future!

We offer support through regular meetings in Bournville, Moseley and Kings Heath. Meetings are open to all expectant, new and experienced mothers who are interested in learning more about mothering through breastfeeding. At LLL meetings we chat, share ideas, support and empower each other through friendship and amazing LLL information and books. We also provide email and telephone support to women across the West Midlands mostly via our fb page www.Facebook.com/LLLSouthBirmingham

LLL South Birmingham is part of an international charity and Deborah and Helen are co-leaders for the South Birmingham group. It is the only LLL group available to mothers in Birmingham.

LLL leaders are trained volunteers and rely entirely on voluntary donations and fundraising. This money goes towards ongoing training to ensure our knowledge and skills are up to date, providing the best library books available for the group, meeting costs such as venue hire, refreshments and materials, as well as training new leaders to eventually provide more breastfeeding groups around the city, spreading LLLove and support to families.

We have 5 star reviews- "This was my first time attend on the meeting and it was great to meet others and know I am not the only one with my problems. Will go next time too"
