Fund Me, £5 Me and Feed them!

Please help the @AberdeenshireNorthFoodbank.

During this current situation, some people don’t have the money or found themselves struggling to put food on the table before the coronavirus pandemic and can’t feed themselves.

The Aberdeenshire North Foodbank is run under the @TrussellTrust – a UK network.

The foodbank uses food generously donated by members of the public at @Tesco, @Morrisons, @Asda, @MarksandSpencer and the @Coop. But, having to change their way of working due to covid19, they can’t deliver the food as quickly as they would like.

@LloydDuncan is trying to raise enough money for a delivery van and/or to support all foodbank operations and provide food to those who are struggling.

The foodbank undertook a Five-day challenge to open a new emergency food packing and distribution centre in #Kintore.

This was achieved thanks to a free warehouse provided by @AberdeenshireCouncil to support their local North-east Scotland foodbanks in #Ellon #Huntly #Fraserburgh #Peterhead and #Inverurie.

They have doorstep delivery help from @ScottishGas and @Sky in the short term, as well as a short term loan van from @Turner-rentals. However, a dedicated transit van would make this a permanent solution as the need for food bank help will be required long after this crisis passes.

People are going hungry in our community. It’s only £5, and if you could share and like afterwards, it would help spread the message.
