A year ago I was shunted in the back by a speeding vehicle. My car was totalled and I was pretty shaken by the impact. I was contacted by the speeding driver's insurance company a day later to inform me that they assume liability and to offer any help or assistance. However, when I phoned my insurance company, based only on what the speeding driver had told them, without listening to my version of the events and ignoring my arguments - including pictures I took off the vehicles and area - pretty much informed me that I was to blame. Since then, on all occasions I managed to get in contact, they continuously ignored me and tried to persuade me into "leaving it" alone.
No win no fee solicitor could not help me because it's my insurance company who is putting the blame on me. In the past 11 months I ended up at JR in Oxford for about 4-6 suicide attempts. I spent some time in Southampton and Oxford wards - and the medication side effects are the only "exciting" thing in my life right now. Ths physical trauma wasn't that bad - still have pains in the back and neck but that's an easy fix with a simple painkiller. But the way I was - I am still - treated by the company who I paid to protect and insure me in exactly the same kind of situation - makes me question and fear everything,
I am a simple man, with simple and clear values. I cannot - will not accept this bizarre choice of services rendered backwards. I don't want their money - I want justice. Like everyone of you out there, I am entitled to it equally. So I decided to take the matter to the court and obtain if. I want my sleep back. I want the nightmares gone. I need my peace back so I can enjoy playing with my 16 months old boy and, so I can release the burden of living with a black dog from my wife's shoulders.
Not everyone can contribute and it's absolutely fine. I know that if you read this and could not spend a quid, you probably thought about my situation for a second. So I thank you for that.
