I have a dream to learn Tibetan in the Himalayas.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story, I hope that you will share my passion and help me to live my dream.
I’m a 59-year young woman and for the last 12 years have been on disability due to chronic illness called Fibromyalgia and CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). It means that I am in constant pain, never a minute or a second without it. To manage the pain, I channel my energies into helping others and self improvement. A constantly changing focus is important. One of the best ways to keep busy is to study and so I’m a student of languages and expanding my knowledge of the world. I speak French, Dutch, English, Spanish and have begun the difficult journey to learn Tibetan.
My biggest dream is to go and learn Tibetan in the Himalayas, where I could immerse myself in the Tibetan language and culture, discovering an all new world. There is a school available where for a full month I could live with the local people and study with them, managing my pain and enhancing my knowledge.
But why Tibetan? I am a practising Buddhist, something that also has disciplines that help my pain. Through Buddhism I have gained a number of Tibetan friends and my goal is, one day out of respect, to be able to converse with them in their own language.
Why am I asking for your help? Living on disability allows me to pay my medical bills little else. I will never be able to find the money to make my dream come true on my own and so I reach out to you for any little help that you can offer. In return I promise to do my utmost to succeed in my studies. As I don’t let Fibromyalgia beat me, I will not fail in this challenge with your support.
