Our local champions with learning disabilities are finalists in the National Learning Disability and Autism Awards 2018. This is for their work as volunteers to help other people with learning disabilities to understand they have a right to vote and how they can do it. A right that most of us take for granted. Getting to be finalists in a national award is an amazing achievement especially as the champs were up against professionals from across England. Now we want to make sure they get the wonderful experience of going to the gala dinner in Birmingham in June, something they cannot afford to do. Even if they don't finally win this could be a night they will remember and a just reward for their hard work. If we raise more than the cost of the table and travel we will use any extra to support their work in the future. Thank you.
