I've raised £2000 to To assist Lochranza Centre CIC through the Covid19 crisis

Lochranza Centre CIC has been operating as an Outdoor Education Centre in the village of Lochranza, on the North West Coast of the Isle of Arran for over 45 years. Based in the old village school & church we provide educational studies & adventure activities for people of all ages.
The Centre is a key part of the local community providing employment & a place to hold meetings & events. Through the Covid19 emmergency we have been operating as a community hub, deliverying meals, picking up shopping & assisting people with their gardens.
A significant part of our business is dealing with School groups. Unfortunately all UK Government guidelines do not allow schools to go away from home & stay overnight at present. This situation is likely to continue well into 2021 & we do not see business returning to any degree of normality until at least Easter 2021. This places a tremendous strain on the resources of the business & could certainly lead to closure in the long term.
We love what we do & we love doing it in this fabulous location. To highlight what we do & support the Centre we have come up with a unique charity event.
The west coast of Arran has 3 inland Lochs: The Coire Lochan, Loch Tanna & Loch Iorsa. These are all set amongst stunning scenery. We will be walking between the 3 lochs & paddling their length using inflatable canoes. All gear will be carried in & out on the same day.
To maximise the weather window the event is set for 'The End of October'. We will select a day which gives us the best chance to complete & also take some fantastic pictures & film footage.
We would be grateful for any donations. This could be a 'one off' amount or over a period of months.
We will keep you updated on the planning!
