As members of the music department at West Suffolk College, we have been supporting our students both academically and holistically over the lockdown and have witnessed the strain that these uncertain times have placed on students throughout the college. When we eventually return to some form of normality, the stress and worry this pandemic has placed on students, both mentally and socially will need to be addressed. We are therefore putting together 'Lockdown Live' an online festival incorporating live performances and original music from both students and staff. To accompany this event we have decided to raise money for the college student welfare department, to help buy new resources and offer additional counselling hours.
