At just 5 weeks old our baby boy Logan suffered a devastating bleed on the brain. The doctors prepared us for the worst outcome while Logan underwent emergency surgery to save his life. We prayed and we’re so thankful that Logan survived. However, the bleed left him with hydrocephalus and an extensive amount of brain damage. A month later Logan deteriorated rapidly due to a build up of fluid in the brain and Logan needed further surgery to insert a permanent shunt which allows the excess fluid to drain into Logan’s tummy. An MRI and CT scan revealed that Logan suffered twice as much damage as we thought and left us heartbroken. We didn’t know if he'd roll, crawl, walk, talk, eat or drink, be able to retain information or understand it, but what we did know was that he had almost certainly lost his sight and he would be registered blind. The bleed Logan suffered was as a result of a vitamin K deficiency (Late Onset VKDB).

Through a lot of therapies, determination, effort and perseverance Logan has continually amazed us with his progress but this is just the beginning.To help better Logans development we are desperate for him to have additional private therapy not available on the NHS.
Thanks to crowdfunding we were fortunate enough to be able to take Logan for treatment in Germany last year. The treatment worked & Logan's vision has improved as has his speach and mobility. We have been invited back for a 2nd round of treatment which we hope with your help we can go back this year.
