Hi! Thanks for looking at our just giving page. I'm Lauren, I'm a semi-permanent make-up artist in Gateshead, North East England. I want to offer semi-permanent makeup eyebrow treatments for free to people who have lost their hair due to health issues such as undergoing chemotherapy or alopecia.

Cancer affects 1 in 2 of people, and many of these people lose their hair due to the invasive treatments they go through. Semi-permanent make-up isn't available on the NHS so I want to offer the treatments for free!

Lauren will be completing the full Hadrian's Wall Walk from Bowness on Solway to Wallsend to to raise funds for LolCare, our not for profit organisation offering free SPMU treatments for people who have lost hair due to illness or treatment.

The full walk is 84 miles long, and will be completed over a week, camping along the way. Starting on the 5th June, followed by the LolCare Brow Bash on Saturday 11th June where you can Celebrate with us!

A little background on Lauren:

I’ve worked in healthcare as a Diagnostic Radiographer for 7 years in a large teaching hospital, scanning patients who have gone through traumatic experiences with hair loss due to illnesses and treatments. I now run my semi-permanent make-up business, LolFace – performing these treatments on clients who have went through hair loss. These treatments make a huge difference on people's lives – many clients say these treatments have completely changed their life!

I want to raise funds to be able to offer semi-permanent make-up treatments for free for these clients to give them confidence in themselves again after going through so much trauma. Our goal is to raise £2300, which would pay for 10 people to get free microblading or tattoo eyebrows at LolFace. For every person that gets it paid for from the funding, I will offer another completely free. If we raise more than the goal - we can offer free treatments to even more people!
