The major problem in Colwyn Bay is the large amount of lonely elderly and bored young people in need of a safe and a loving environment and where they can make friends, learn new skills and be out of the house enjoying themselves. I'm planning to open a Centre in Station Road, Colwyn Bay, where I will offer people a place to hang, have cake, tea and coffee, where they can learn new skills, listen to piano music, learn how to use internet and most importantly make friends in the way.
The premises are very expensive and I need some help preparing the cyber cafe/meeting area, making sure it's suitable for all people, with every kind of disability.
I need to raise 6000 pounds to help with the extra rent and the furnishings for the area and to be able to start creating the atmosphere that is much needed for the people in this town. I really hope you can all understand how terrible is for these lonely people who have no where to go. This is a popular place for people to retire to and their families live far away and many have lost their partners and now live on their own. All together we can provide them with a meeting point with lots of activities, art classes, meditation, dance, sewing, crochet and a tea coffee room meeting point, where they can meet and chat.
