On the 5th of August the island of Lombok in Indonesia suffered a huge earthquake of a magnitude of 7.0. This was followed by countless aftershocks and over the following days more earthquakes.

The locals live in underdeveloped villages and houses, with more then 15,000 homes being destroyed and hundreds of deaths, this figure is likely to rise. We were on the Island when this happened and saw first hand the tragic damage that occurred. We were overwhelmed by the kindness shown by the people of Lombok for our safety over theirs even though hundreds of their community had died. Fortunately our family were lucky enough to get out safely however this isn't an option for those who live there and have lost everything.

The people of Lombok desperately need our help to rebuild their lives. We are raising money for PROJECT KARMA who are already on the ground helping so many and providing food and shelter for the locals to help them get back to some normality. Please give whatever you can to help some of the kindest people we've met on our journey.
