We have spent many years rescuing restoring and rehoming little pets ..cats ,fish,guinea pigs rabbits and others.Over time it is becoming more and more the case that pets are a marvelous way to tackle loneliness and there fore associated states such as depression.
We have also had a lot of middle aged and elderly pets and we could place a lot of these pets in new homes if the new 'owners' could be sure that if the pet becomes sick we will treat the pet at our clinic for free.Not being able to afford Vets fees and medication for elderly pets is one of the main reasons for people who would love a pet but who are on a fixed income are reluctant to have one.It will also be our policy to ensure that we will always take the pet back should circumstances change such as illness of the owner or change of home.
We have also identified a large section of local people who cannot have a pet even with our help but love to visit them and interact...brushing and cuddling the pets and bringing special food.This is for all ages and when we get the centre we hope the generations will interact with each other in our coffee shop...and we want a little wildlife area and a pond.
we will also have a meeting room and we have already been asked to have Duke of Edinburgh Students and Brownies and we have schools waiting to sponsor and visit our pets.
We have to move from our present premises shortly and we need the funds to survive continue and expand.We have to turn away pleas for help every day and it is heartbreaking to do so....but we are severley hampered by lack of space and lack of funds.
We appreciate that there are huge demands on everyones purse but if you could see your way to helping us,however little,the little animals will thank you from the bottom of their little hearts!
