I'm raising £500 for the Long Eaton community Carnival

With a history dating back to 1931, Long Eaton Carnival is an annual community event, usually held the 3rd Saturday in June.

This event can only continue with fundraising.

The committee members are all volunteers, who dedicate their time and energy freely throughout the whole year. During the months of April to October, there are car boots held on West Park, each month on a Sunday, which the proceeds go towards the carnival. Applications for grants, appeals for businesses to advertise in the souvenir programme, or sponsorships, are just a few of the tasks. On Carnival day, there are buckets, chalices and a card machine for collections.

We rely heavily on the kind generosity of the local community. The carnival costs around £16,000 each year. If everyone who who attends the carnival or likes the Facebook page, donates at least £1 each we can keep the carnival event going. Think about other events you may have attended recently, concerts, live music, and think about the amount you may have paid for the admission tickets. All contributions are greatly received and put to good use for the many services required to keep the event safe and running smoothly each year.
