I was completely oblivious as to how many children in the UK are going hungry every day and the problem is only getting worse.

100% of the money raised will be donated to a local food bank. Yes it's only a short term solution but parliament are now working on a way of ensuring that every child in the UK is fed properly, thanks to Marcus Rashford.

Growing up I was lucky enough to never have to go through this but the fact it is happening so close to home struck a cord. It's not just here in Teesside though, it's a major problem all across the UK and hopefully the great work Marcus is doing will bring a long term solution quickly.

To raise funds I'm challenging myself to cycle the Cleveland Way (well as much of it as I'm allowed - parts of it don't allow for cyclists so I'll have to detour). 110 miles, off-road.

Let's end child hunger in the UK.
