Weʼve raised £1,385 to help my cousin Louise battle Cancer.

    Crans-Montana, Switzerland
Funded on Monday, 21st August 2017

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    Story

At the end of this month I'm embarking on a 6 day loop round the Eiger in Switzerland by Mountainbike. We are going to cover around 192km in distance but ascend around 6050m and descend around 8750m. I always intended using this as an excuse to raise money for charity, but now I have a cause to support that is closer to home.
Earlier this year my beautiful cousin Louise received some devastating news when she was diagnosed with neuroendocrine carcinoma, a rare and very agressive form of cancer. The money I want to raise will go towards her treatment and to support her family through this terrible time and beyond. Louise and her husband Washington, have 3 sons, the youngest just 15 months old.
If you can, please make a donation, not to give me added incentive slogging up those mountains, but to support a family that are are dealing with the worst news in the most positive way I can imagine.
    Thanks for your support.

Thanks all for all of your generous donations. I completed the 6 days in one piece with only a few war wounds (bumps and grazes) to speak of. It was a great experience, both exilarating and tough in equal measure. So far I've raised £1300 towards my taregt of £2000, so thanks again for all your support. If you'd still like to make a donation then the page will still be running until 21st August. I saw my cousin yesterday, and although she was recovering from her latest round of Chemo, she was in good spirits. Cheers Justin
