Toader is a simple and kind man living in a village in the heart of Transylvania with his wife and his two daughters. But Toader is more than that - he is a man who overcame his condition. He lost his right leg in a car accident in his early 20s, but he didn't give up and built a life. More than that, he built kindness around him, helping all his elderly neighbours to the best of his abilities. When his first wife left him and their daughter, after a violent episode in which she broke his prothesis, he took care of his daughter, a toddler at the time, he didn't give her up and he didn't give up hope. His second wife gave him another daughter and he is raising them to be happy children and kind people.
I want to help Toader because he is a man who needs help - his orthopaedic prothesis is very old and very unsafe, making him fall over every day and he is in pain due to the prothesis affecting his spine.
I will run for Toader in order to raise money for his prothesis, because this is the one thing he can't do. I will run in as many races as necessary to reach the sum Toader needs for a decent prothesis.
