Beginning on the 15th of April 2017 I will be traveling to Mumbai India with the charity 'Born to Be Beautiful'.

I have already raised £930 of a £1500 target thanks to amazing genorosity. I hope to be able to raise the remaing £600

Born to be beautiful was set up by Sarah Glover, a Beauty Therapist who visited India 7 years ago. Their main goal is to restore dignity and hope to lives devastated by exploitation, sickness or war through providing beauty therapy training and skills. This training enables these women to gain employment and set up their own businesses with the help of Born to be beautiful.

There are over 200 million illiterate women in India who struggle to earn a living and provide for their children. These women often have high fertility rates, poor earning potential, little autonomy in the household and bad quality of life. Education is the key to reducing these figures. Giving vulnerable women the tools and qualifications to become independent and self sufficient is so important.

My work has given me so much pleasure over the years, training in beauty therapy, working with women, and building my own business to give me financial independence. I know that it would mean so much more to these ladies, as it would help to restore their dignity and self esteem and enable them to earn a living, get them off the streets and out of their difficult and hopeless situations. I want to use my knowledge and skills to help those who need it more than I do and to give back to a country that is close to my heart.

I would love to teach these ladies and see their lives changed for the positive but I need your help! Please help me to help them by donating as much as you can.
