Help raise money for lifesaving treatment for Lorraine.

Lorraine is a mother of two young children and was diagnosed with stage 4 skin cancer, unfortunately her treatment is not working and she has been offered the chance to receive a pioneering new generation of immunotherapy for patients with an aggressive form of skin cancer.

This is a lifesaving opportunity for Lorraine to continue to raise and see her beautiful children grown up and her friends and family are determined to raise enough money for her to receive this treatment. Lorraine has been informed that Tumour Infiltrating Lymphocytes (TILs) treatment will cost between £90 - £100k.

TILs involves surgically removing some melanoma tumour tissue, separating out the TILs and growing them in a centralised production facility , then they are returned to the hospital and administered to the patient via intravenous infusion.

This pioneering study could pave the way for other complex cell-based therapies to be offered to other cancer patients in the future.

Lorraine has two children, Ella who is 8 and Teddy who is 5 years old, Lorraine has been battling skin cancer since 2015 and is not ready to stop fighting, so the aim of this page is to raise money to save Lorraine!

Medical background... Lorraine had previous melanoma from 2015 with a scar recurrence in 2016. In 2017 there was a subcutaneous recurrence in her left arm. January 2018 Lorraine was told the devastating news that she had extensive metastic disease in her lungs, liver, adrenal, subcutaneous and peritoneal and commenced a Triology trial but had to stop this due to toxicity and began a drug treatment. In January this year a PET CT scan showed a mixed response with an increasing size and avidity of right adrenal metastasis.

In May 2019, Lorraine also had 5 brain tumours diagnosed that were treated with SRS (stereotactic radiotherapy surgery).

Today, June 2019 Lorraine received the heart breaking news that it has spread to her stomach, muscle as well as the neck and the ONLY option is now a treatment called TILS which we are raising money for.
