Walking for Ward 10
In 2021, I spent the better part of the year on Ward 10 (the paediatric ward in Yeovil District Hospital). I was in a dark place suffering with anorexia and they saved my life. During my stay, I was looked after by the most amazing nurses and doctors who, even though underpaid and short-staffed, did everything to help me and everyone else on the ward.
Now recovered, I am walking the South Downs Way, which is 100 miles, in just under a week in the Easter holidays this year. This is going to be a challenge for me but I want to do it to fund the Ward. They really need help with raising money for resources and the hospital school. The donations will fund the ward, helping them to buy things like DVD's, art supplies, and toys as well as school materials. It will also help support the staff who work so hard to save children's lives.
