Story

My Name is Lou and I am a full-time nurse in the NHS.

In my spare time on a smallholding I have, I find, take in and look after rescue animals that have been abandoned and, in many cases very cruelly mistreated, it can be hard at times but my natural instinct as a nurse for caring extends to animals.

I recently rescued a pony called Daisy after finding her abandoned and living in horrendous conditions with her legs tied together, no water or feed. Having got her home and out to grazing, I came home from work to find that she had been attacked possibly by dogs let loose by their owners.

The upshot is that Daisy has had to have 28 stitches to her cheek, 4 in her head plus a course of antibiotics and injections. The cost of this is an unforeseen cost and one I couldn’t even imagine planning for.

I have set up this page to appeal to anyone who might be able to help me in any way, I know £700 is a great deal of money and if I could find it any other way I most certainly would.

Your donations will be greatly appreciated and will go a long way to helping Daisy in her recovery...thank you from the bottom of my heart.
