Story

I have always worried about the children in my care as holidays approach. I have always wanted to support them when they are not attending school. I see behaviours change as they become anxious about losing the stability, warmth, safety and familiarity of their school as the holidays approach not to mention the possibility of not having a guaranteed lunch each day.
With this in mind I am going to be doing what I can to help by providing between 30 and 50 packed lunches a day 5 days a week for the 6 weeks holiday. Holidays are hard enough when you have 1 child, having more than one makes finances hard. We all need a little help from time to time and this is what I want to do for families who are doing their best but are still finding finances hard during the holidays.
These will be distributed from "North Birkenhead Development Trust at St James Centre Birkenhead.
The lunches will consist of: sandwiches, fruit, yogurts, crisps, drinks and biscuits and will be prepared by myself and a team of volunteers.
This will mean that we can help up to 50 children a day and as the saying goes "Every little bit helps."
Those who know me know that I am passionate about children and will do whatever I can to help. I cannot do this alone and so I am asking for help with funding the lunches.
This is a venture I intend to continue and deliver every holiday so really want to my heart and soul into this.
Thank you in advance for anything you can do to help - the children in need in Wirral will appreciate all you do.
Thank you
Looby Lou
