What is crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Story
The Berkshire Scouts organise a trip to Uganda every 4 years, for a group of committed Leaders and young people to make bricks and build school buildings for the local school. This trip will focus on making accommodation for Teachers, so they don't have to travel long distances to and from school.
The Scouts will also spend time with the local children, getting to know them, playing with them and gaining a real insight into the harsh reality of life in rural Uganda. It is a truly life changing trip.
Training has already started, and the Scouts have to commit themselves to lots of weekend workshops, as well as fund raising.
Conditions will be VERY basic and challenging, but Louie is excited to be going and already raising funds.
