Story

This year I have decided to run two marathons within a month of each other to raise money for Ned’s Fund.

Ned's Fund ” is focused on giving young people hope and purpose, providing opportunities to those who have not yet found their path. It is close to my heart, as a family friend set the fund up, when Ned, her wonderful son took his own life in the summer of 2017. After growing up with Ned and knowing how adventurous, fun, and bright he was, it really opened my eyes to the issue of mental health. As a small fund entering their fifth year, it would be a pleasure to help work towards their goal to raise £100,000 and help continue the incredible work they do to increase awareness and normalise young men to speaking out. Ned's Fund is a restricted fund under the auspices of prism the gift fund, registered charity no.1099682.

I am also running for the NFDC whose chosen charity are “The Snowdon Trust ”. Founded in 1981, their aims are to break down barriers for disabled students on their journey through post-school education and into employment. There is still more to be done for inclusivity in education and the workplace for young disabled people and I am honoured to represent this charity. I would like to thank John Lynch at Newline for supporting me throughout this journey and for all the help and effort into raising as much as we can.

I will be running the London Marathon on the 23rd April 2023, followed by the Copenhagen Marathon on the 14th May 2023. I am a little bit terrified but determined to complete both marathons. I will be extremely grateful for any support contributed.

Lots of love and thank you xox
