Why did we choose this charity?

My amazing nephew Niall is part of Spectrum Gaming and last year became an Ambassador for this charity helping to enable other children and young adults like himself who often find themselves isolated or socially excluded.

Here's what it is all about.

Over the past 12 months our charity has been a vital source of support for autistic children and young people in lessening their experiences of loneliness and isolation during the COVID-19 lockdowns

Our charity is about promoting social inclusion among autistic children and young people (diagnosed or suspected) who are socially excluded from society, or parts of society, as a result of being autistic. We do this by-

1) Running an online community for autistic young people, which focuses on: - Enabling young people to create new friendships. Improving their mental health, wellbeing and emotional resilience. Giving young people the confidence and skills to meet their goals and aspirations

2) Educating young people, their parents and professionals about autism and internet safety.

3) Promoting the views of young people - advocating for them, and empowering them to advocate for themselves

4) Supporting other organisations to create and develop groups/ activities for autistic young people, both physically and online

5) Running projects, campaigns and activities based on the priorities and needs of the young people in our community. - Including running face to face social groups and activities around their interests.
