Story
Oscar is a 7 year old little boy, born with Down Syndrome and other complex needs! A little warrior, already having a stoma and has undergone open heart surgery!
3 weeks ago, Oscar was a typical little boy walking and talking! Then he’s suffered with a life changing stroke, resulting in having to have half his skull removed to assist with the swelling! He currently can’t walk, talk or eat and is in Leeds General infirmary. The stroke has affected his left side and he may never fully recover from the side effects as the stroke has caused significant brain injury.
Oscars recovery is going to take a lot of time, rehabilitation and medical intervention!
With the current covid pandemic, the family are really struggling with costs, and when Oscar comes home he will need 24 hour care which will continue to impact on the families income!
This little boy has the most amazing smile, Will and resilience to life! We’re raising money to help this family and support them in the fight to get Oscar home and give him everything he needs to recover the best he can! Louise and Adrian (Oscars parents) have another son Oliver who is 11. Any monies raised will help with living costs and any equipment to aid Oscars recovery!
