I am a 35 year old PE teacher living in Essex. Just 18 months ago I competed in my first Duathlon to raise money for charity. This started my whirlwind experience that has lead to me competing for Great Britain Age-Group Team at both the European Championships and the World Championships.
in 2016 i finished 5th in Europe and 8th in The World in my first year of competing at this level! Unlike Elite level everything is self funded. The training is the time, the commitment is the same, however I have to fit in around my full time job!
My dedication to fulfill my dreams of standing on the podium at the World Championships in 2017 is clear when you see my weekly training regime. Most days start at 5am when I fit in my first run session before work and then complete the second session after work.
As a PE teacher I hope that I am an inspiration to my students, age is just a number not a barrier to your dreams!

I need support however to be able to get to Canada in 2017 to compete at the World Championships. Travel fees, Entry fees, equipment, kit, nutrition...the list goes on, and all is self funded.
