Elise is a 15 year old guide of whom attends Newnham guides. She has been chosen by the international girl-guiding association to represent Northamptonshire with the county group attending an international event in Mexico. This will take place in the summer holidays however is NOT a holiday. Elise will be doing community projects, working in schools and helping in the local area within under privileged communities. It is a amazing opportunity for her as well as all the people and children she will be able to help.

To be able to go Elise has to raise her own travel costs of £2500.

She has been doing loads of fundraising including sponsored bike rides, coffee mornings, raffles alongside baking cakes and gardening to raise the funds. She has also been doing all of this whilst still studying for her GCSE;s. We are very proud of her!

On June 3rd both Elise and I (her older sister) will be abseiling down the Northampton lift tower. This is a height of 400 feet and is the tallest permanent abseil tower in the world.

Anything you are able to donate to the cause would be greatly appreciated. Both of us are scared of heights so I agreed to do it with her as at 15 years old feel she could use the support. Not sure who will be supporting who when we are dangling over Northampton however : )
