Story

On 21st August 2021, myself and my partner Joe Thompson will be taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge and by doing so, help to raise money for a local charity close to home called "Carers' Support Service." The Challenge will consist of climbing the summit of Pen-y-ghent (2,227 ft), Whernside (2,415 ft) and Ingleborough (2,372 ft) which is a 25-mile circular route and we aim to complete this within 12 hours. The charity has been supporting carers for over 30 years and work with carers to ensure they receive the right support and information at the right time, enabling them to continue looking after members of their family, friends and neighbours. This includes caring for adults with all types of conditions (i.e. dementia) as well as supporting parents of children with special needs.

The charity supports unpaid carers of North Lincolnshire and their families to reduce the impact of caring on their wellbeing. They make a positive difference to people's lives, taking an holistic approach to supporting carers. They give carers a voice and encourage their empowerment.
