Have you ever had a moment where you thought 'If I could afford it, I would...'? Well this is mine. Growing up with a love for performing, I always said "If I could afford it, I would audition to be a part of the National Youth Theatre". Well, in 2021, due to covid guidelines, the audition process for National Youth Theatre was all online, so I grasped at the free opportunity and auditioned - AND I GOT IN! On average, over 5000 young people audition for NYT each year, but only 500 places are awarded. I feel beyond grateful to be one of the accepted applicants, except the value of this experience is being undermined by the cost. Not including living expenses, the programme and accommodation alone will cost more than I'd be able to earn, let alone save, in the next two months. Anyone who knows me understands I'm not afraid of hard work, and so creating this crowdfunder is a last resort for me to raise the funds I need. I have always had faith in my journey as an actor, but the platform I have been able to create on TikTok has encouraged me even more to not let my talent go to waste. I would be more than grateful for any support you can give at this time, and hope to share my experience and opportunities I've received from National Youth Theatre with you!
