I am a Mum to 3 boys 2 who are on the autism spectrum they also have sensory processing disorder which effects touch taste smell sight & sound causing the senses to overload leading to meltdowns
I also help run a support group called Super parents special kids it supports & advocates for a range of local families who have children with a range neurological disorders and additional needs
I am aware from my work and experience there are a lack of facilities for these type of children a sensory room would greatly benefit & enhance these children and their families lives research has shown how calming & stimulating a sensory room can be
I know 1st hand how challenging it can be looking after a child with additional needs and if this facility even gives a child an hour a week in a sensory room I know what a massive positive impact it will have please help support this cause
