Our friend Ali has been battling breast cancer for a number of years now. It is a rare aggressive type; triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). After some research the family have found out that to give Ali the best chance of living longer they need to try and raise enough money to get treatment at the Hallwang clinic in Germany that specialises in a potentially lifesaving new targeted treatments for TNBC that they don’t have available on the NHS. Alison has already started treatment, however as it is so expensive (£325k) her family and friends are trying to raise money to pay for it themselves (£75k needed).

I am all signed up to to compete in the Doncaster 10k trail race on 24th September - eek! Please give generously, it's for a very deserving cause. Ali's gofundme page has raised a whopping £17k to date but more is needed. I promise not to break any ankles this time.......
