Raising money by running the swindon half marathon and the great south run for Hometruths, a domesic violence charity based in swindon who work across wiltshire. They offer amazing support for women in dangerous relationships and give people the confidence and supprt to escape safely. There are groups for women to come together to support each other and even days out and parties for the children affected by domestic abuse. It is purely charity funded and the work they do is incredible. I have seen myself what support they can offer to people and how the work they do really does save lives and give people the chance to rebuild their lives. It is like one big family and the support given is amazing. So many women and children have been saved by this charity and i want to give something back on behalf of those that they have helped.
