    Story

Hi, I am a single mother of 4, my youngest being 2 years old. Ive had a pretty rubbish 3/4 years due to ill health which resulted in me been unable to work so had to go on the sick which then led to redundancy which resulted in me going onto benfits ☹️. I have never in my life been on benefits and have always worked and provided for my children, paying my mortgage, bills etc.

When i was 19 weeks pregnant with my yougest i was rushed to A&E due to been in sevre pain and this was the start of my ill health. They ran tests for appendicitis and all the scans, blood tests etc came back negative but the doctor decided to cut me open anyway to remove my appendix. As you can imagine at 19 weeks pregnant and havin to undergo open surgery on your stomach was not just traumatic, stressful, painful, but the fear of loosing my unborn child. You trust the doctors though so after insisting that maternity come and monitor my baby surgery went ahead. The pain afterwards was unbarable and was only allowed parcetomal which did nothing and my baby moving and kicking 🤢 How i got through it is beyond me!

Moving on, i still had the same pain that i went to A&E with which continued to get worse. Just over 6 months had passed and after me giving birth i returned to my GP who then referred me for further scans, tests etc. It then came to light that all this pain was due to one of my kidneys (nothing to do with my appendix) and it wasnt picked up prior 😡. Anyway cutting a very long story short i had major kidney problems and a duplex kidney system where both my ureters were blocked. I underwent yet more surgery which failed and the pain persisted so got reffered to Dr B my urologist consultant at the priory hospital who was fab. Anyway another major reconstructive operation took place in 2016 which took just over 3 months to recover and as you can imagine with 4 kids, the youngest been 12 months it was so hard and stressful and during this period i was made redundant.

With my redundancy money i paid to start my driving instructor course and went on to complete my Part 1 and Part 2 Tests 😀👍 inbetween operations, tests etc.

After this surgery i still had pain but it wasnt in the same place as before so Dr B ordered more tests one being an MRI scan. I recieved my results which again wasn't good, they found tumors in my womb and my ovaries 😧 And was referred to a gynocologist specialist. Over a period of time i recieved treatment which failed to work and underwent further tests etc.

2017 i had completed my Part 1 & 2 PDI Tests and was nearly halfway through my training for my final Part 3 but when i went to see my consultant for results my cancer markers were really high plus other results it was mentioned that it could be ovarian cancer early stage and that a full hysterectomy was recommended. My whole world flashed before me and i was devistated, scared, worried didnt want to leave my children etc.

After hearing that 'C' word i did some reasearch and a book was recommended to me so i began to read it. I followed this book and chaged my diet, started yoga, meditation etc and prepared myself for more surgery. As you can imagine my head was all iver the place and took the decision to put my lessons on hold as i needed to concentrate on my health.

I went though major surgery again had a full hysterectomy had my womb, ovaries and cervix removed. During my 3 month recovery i received my final results and I'm Cancer FREE 😀👍.

I am now trying to get off benefits and back into working life before I loose my home and into further trouble. I have come so far with my driving instructing and truly dont want to give this up as i only have the final part to complete. Also the PDI Part 3 has now changed and you can now have a trainee Pink Licence but you must sign up to the franchise and complete further training with a instructor which is more money and money i dont have. I have invested a lot of time, money and determination to complete this as its not only for me but my children, our home etc.

i dont want to be stuck on benefits of £73.10 per week for the next how many years i want to earn my money and provide a good life for my children and the thought of loosing my house of 15 years is devistating.

Next week I resume my lessons which is what was already paid for with my redundancy money but after the 22 hours is up i cant unles i have £2000 to continue with my pink licence and take my Part 3 test.

Once I have my Pink Licence i can start giving lessons and earn my own money and with christmas approaching so very fast would be a huge weight lifted as i can get my children presents.

The 22 hours will be finished the end of September so looking for a way to fund the remainder to start October. Anything will help no matter how big or small and myself and my children thank you from the bottom of our hearts and as soon as im in a better position i will help as many people i can on crowdfunding 💕💕💕

    Thank you 💕
