Meet Jamie, he is a prolific poet however do to his situation you would never know. It was back in January when the temperatures were struggling to reach above zero degrees that I became aware of his work. A family member offered Jamie a sandwich and a hot drink, which he was gratefully to receive. But rather than just say thanks, he written them a poem and would not accept the gift unless they in return took the poem as payment. Please see below;

Jamie does not want anything for nothing. Jamie is one of Manchester many homeless and has been on the streets for 19 months. Due to his situation he cannot claim benefits, and has found himself in this awful situation with only handouts to keep him going. Since discovering his work and being a fellow creative, I am planning on animating the poem in an effort to highlight homelessness. I have met with Jamie who is an amazing guy, and he wants people to know that most folks are only a couple of steps from finding themselves in his situation. He has a real positive outlook on life and considering the abuse he receives from some of the public, I don't think I could cope like him.
