Story

After the devastating loss of my 2 year old service dog, Lila, in a "hit and run" incident outside Hyde Park I am determined to use this heart breaking incident for the greater good. I am raising money to help increase the safety of everyone who uses our beloved parks but especially for young school children who use the park on a daily basis and dog owners and walkers. We need to keep our neighboureds safe and minimise the risk of more children and animals, being fatally killed or injured when using the parks. We need to eradicate issues such as, drink driver, speeding, driving on cellphones or without a license to name a few. As this is how my loyal companion and in 2015 a one year old child lost their life in the same tragic circumstances.

I have decided myself to give up alcohol for as long as it takes to raise the money we need to take action! So think of my and donate with this in mind! Please donate as little or as much as you can, as every little counts. However, the most valuable thing we can do as a community and as a city is spread the word and bring awareness to others of the potential dangers that are so easily avoidable with just a little more thought and care.

Thank you for reading my story and I hope it has encouraged you to help make our parks safer, one path and one road at a time.
