What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Story

Mia is a beautiful young girl and the daughter of a friend of mine. After months of something not being right, a lump appeared in her groin and she was sent to Birmingham Childrens Hospital . Sadly after urgent and very painful surgery to remove lymph node tumours she was diagnosed with Lymphoblastic Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma in January 2018. This means Mia is now facing gruelling and intensive treatment in order to save her life. This page has been set up to fundraise for her and her family during this journey. We want the family to not have to worry about all the costs that come with having a child going through this and we also want Mia and her family to have special treats and experiences whenever possible to help her feel better.

Mum Erin talks about her here "Mia is 5 years old, she’s swimming crazy, been having lessons for 2 years now and is gutted that she can’t carry on while she has her central line for her chemotherapy. Mia has a natural talent in the water! She loves her gymnastics too which thankfully all being well she will be well enough to carry on with this once the 6-8 Weeks of her Phase 1 of treatment has been completed. She is loving school and just adores her friends and her teachers. She is aquabeads obsessed, enjoys having a go at sewing and anything crafty. She has 2 cat‘s called Jerry and the other called George but if you call him by he doesn't respond because Mia calls him bum bum and it’s stuck 😂😂😂 Mia isjust a crazy ball of excited energy, very feisty and has an iron will stronger than anything I have ever come across before!"

Her brother is Thomas, he’s 2 years old and he loves anything with wheels and music group with mommy on Tuesday mornings (going to miss this so much 😩), swimming and Peppa Pig! He adores his sister. She’s his favourite person in the world ❤️

Please help us to help them showing your love and thoughts by donating anything no matter how small. Your donation will make a difference!

Please do keep Mia and her family in your thoughts and prayers too x

"We are amazed by the generosity of everyone! We reached our target in just a few days. Please do keep donating - Mia and her family have 2-3 years of treatment ahead and need as much help as we can give them. When Mia is better anything left over will be donated to the charities who are already helping them. Thank you is simply not enough but thank you from the bottom of our hearts x"

Happy Mothers Day to all the amazing mothers out there. I don't have words for how amazing Erin, Mia's mummy is her composure and resolution is simply jaw dropping. I visited Mum and Mia yesterday at Birmingham Children's Hospital to deliver an amazing gift from Nicol & Co, Estate Agents who donated a Disney Frozen DVD player so Mia can watch her favourite DVDs in hospital. Mia has been having problems getting nutrition into her so had to be transferred to BCH for extra special care they couldn't provide at Worcester so please think of them x

Sadly today, whilst having another procedure at Birmingham Children's Hospital Mia's family were told that Mia's cancer is also in her bone marrow in the form of Lymphoblastic Leukaemia known as ALL. Her treatment is not changed at all for now whilst the PET scan results are awaited which will confirm the cancer's staging and any more spread. Please do follow her progress on her Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/Mias-Lymphoblastic-NHL-journey-163980354221949/ Pray everyone, please pray x
