I'm raising £20000 to help Lowdham FLAG protect properties in Lowdham from flooding

Story

We would like your support in raising funds to purchase flood defence supplies such as Flood Blocks and Flood Barriers. These defences will be used to try to manage the flow of flood water around the village, trying to divert water away from entering our properties and instead down into drains and culverts. We are also purchasing the most sophisticated surface water flood prediction software to help us do this safely. We will need many many blocks and barriers, plus places to store them, trollies to move them around to where they are needed, and protective equipment for our volunteers doing the hard graft.

We also need more pumps to help pump water to where it can safely flow away into drains and culverts. The funds will support funds provided by the Lowdham Parish Council.

Given the delays to the Lowdham Flood Alleviation scheme, the Reservoir being built by the Environment Agency, it is crucial that we get more defences around the village. Many residents are only just returning to refurbished properties after Storm Babet. We desperately want to try to prevent their properties from flooding again in the 2 to 3 years left before the flood reservoir scheme is operational. Can you help us?
