    Story

I have lived in Eversley for the past 18 years and I have always loved this area and the great community that we have. I want to make it even better, but I can't without your help!

The informal park opposite Mud Lane must be one of the loveliest settings for a play area anywhere. My daughter, like many other children who live in Lower Common, love to play there, but sadly much of the play equipment that was installed there has now reached the end of its life. The swing needs replacing as do the 'springers' for the littlest ones, and I know that a slide would be very welcome too. I know that many families in Lower Common feel as I do that we are not making the most of this lovely play area.

Play equipment that is used by the public must meet certain standards, so is much more costly than the kind we buy to use in our gardens. For example, a replacement swing costs about £4500. The Parish Council and the Eversley and Bramshill Trust will do their bit by contributing a substantial amount towards the cost of new equipment, but it won't be enough. That is why we need the people who live in the area to do their bit and contribute too. Who knows - we could raise enough to get not only the swings, but a slide too.. and perhaps even more!

I know that people in Lower Common will rise to the challenge and contribute - just look at what people in Eversley Centre achieved two years go when they collected enough to replace all the play equipment in the play area there!

So come on Mums and Dads, Grandmas and Grandpas - and anyone else who lives and takes pride in Lower Common - lets transform our play area into something we can all be really proud!!

PLEASE DIG DEEP AND CONTRIBUTE!!!! THANK YOU!

Well done for taking this on Abby. Our grandchildren love that park and to have some new equipment and swings will be wonderful.
