    Story

Littleborough RUFC (former Old Rochdalians) first opened its doors at Rakewood in 1978 with one senior team. To date the club has gone on to recruit an adundant amount of new players; many of them starting off in the minis/junior section and progressing on to play for our seniors.

At present we have 19 teams playing at Rakewood, for Union we have:- 3 senior teams, 1 senior colts team, 1 Women team, U18's, U15's and U13's girls teams; U16's boys team and every age group from U7's through to U14's and for League we have 1 open age team and 1 U7's team. We have 521 members, a numerous amount of supporters and some really generous sponsors.

We are passionate people at Littleborough, we all strongly believe in the rugby laws. We teach integrity, passion, solidarity, discipline and respect which are all charter building characteristics of life, not only rugby! We are one club; an integral part of our local community; a 'Green Army Team'; a rugby family and a club we are all proud to be part of!

    On to our challenge....

In 2018 we are planning on taking all our mini and junior teams on tour to Wales which is approximately 300 people. We want to give all our players the opportunity to come with us and play in a tournament, what will be a life time memory; making lifelong friends; sharing fun and laughter and together; giving our kids of this world something to believe in...themselves, and their team mates.

To make this happen we have a list of crazy people below willing to take on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks which is climbing 3 mountains (Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough) walking 24 miles, 5200ft (1,585m) of ascent in less than 12 hours all to raise funds for the club and the tour.

Your sponsorship would be greatly appreciated.
