We are raising £5000 for Lubavitch Boys Minyan this Purim.

Lubavitch Boys Minyan is the oldest and has been the most consistent minyan in Manchester, being established in 1966, nearly 60 years ago!

Every Shabbos morning, no matter if it's in the middle of summer holiday, half-term or exams, 10 a.m. every Shabbos morning, boys from all different areas of the Manchester Jewish Community are walking to 62 Singleton Road to daven in Lubavitch Boys Minyan. This Minyan is a place for these boys to feel most at home, to grow in their davening and connection to Yiddishkeit, to feel cherished and part of a community, and to tap into their own unique infinite potential. We prepare an incredible Kiddush every week throughout the entire week with us needing to start making 2 cholents a week now due to the growth of Lubavitch Boys Minyan. We also have an incredible incentives program which offers great reward for boys of all skill levels. Points are earned according to a boy's skill level and how much effort he invested and are earnt through leining, davening for the omud or being on time sharp at 10 a.m with every 6 points being worth £10!

In addition to Shabbos morning, every Wednesday night we have a learning program where Zalman Coleman learns Chasidus with the boys, further helping develop the right mindset and perspective every Jewish Teenager needs to ensure growth.

Every term there is also one big Lubavitch Boys Minyan event, including the Winter Term playing host to the famous Lubavitch Boys Minyan Shabbaton where every year we go to Llandudno to spend Shabbos in the Chabad Retreat Centre and have a chance to have a meaningful Shabbos with each other.

The upkeeping of Lubavitch Boys Minyan however is expensive and makes it harder for us to keep on providing the platform and tools so many boys over the last 6 decades have relied on and benefited from so much.
